Col McBryde & Jen Parr (Adelina, Some Young Punks, Vine Mind) are making some of our favourite wines at the moment. Taking fruit from some of the classic Clare sub-regions these wines are very much about a modern expression of Clare, albeit in a classic style. 

Fruit for the 2022 vintage of their Polish Hill River Riesling was harvested in the cool of the morning, destemmed, crushed then pressed. The free run juice is fractioned, settled and fermented cool until dryness. 

Hill River Estate vineyard, planted in ’00, grey-brown loam on shale and sandy limestone, north-south orientation, 460m elevation. Tight and intense, lemon-lime, a stony and shell-like texture, nervy and zesty, with a racy slightly sappy finish of good length. I reckon it needs a year or two to settle down. - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, 93 Points, on the 2021 vintage
