Product Description:
Tasmanian Pinot from a site with serious pedigree. Planted in 1998 on the basalt and dolerite soils of Clarence Plains, Clarence House Estate has become one of Tasmania’s quiet achievers. This 2024 release draws fruit from the north-east slopes of the vineyard, located between Hobart and the Coal Valley in a corridor known for its cool nights, long ripening seasons, and low rainfall—conditions that let Pinot Noir shine.

Hand-picked and wild-fermented with a touch of whole bunch for lift and structure, this Pinot sees time in both new and seasoned French oak. The result is a wine that delivers dark cherry, spice and violet florals with a supple, textural palate. It’s medium-bodied with freshness to burn and a savoury, age-worthy finish.

Reviews & Accolades
“The 2024 Estate Pinot Noir is described as juicy and fresh with an ‘inky feel’ and bright acidity. Aromas include crushed cherries, violets, anise, clove, dried meat, earth, and spice. The palate features spicy cherry, anise, strawberry fruit over dried clove and earth, finishing with grainy tannins and savory depth.”James Halliday, via Nicks Wine Merchants, 92 points
