Del Maguey founder Ron Cooper is crafting heirloom spirits from some of the finest, most sought after mezcal producing villages anywhere in Oaxaca. Tiny quantities reach Australia and the Chichicapa (like all the Del Maguey releases named after its village of origin) is one of the best we have ever tasted.
Faustino Garcia Vasquez is the maker of Chichicapa, a craftsman with great respect for the ancient processes. His mezcal typically offers a relatively light nose, is deep and sweet with a distinct smokiness and hint of mint.
