In 2003, Glenfiddichs Malt Master Brian Kinsman, thought to experiment with peated spirits running it through the Glenfiddich stills. This birthed what would become the innovative Experiment Series and the fourth expression being Fire & Cane. This fuses Glenfiddichs smoky whisky with malts having been matured side-by-side in bourbon cask, showcasing Glenfiddich's fruit and sweet signature style. Going one step futher, all of the whiskies were finished in Latin rum casks producing a surprising overlay of added caramel toffee sweetness.
