Suntory Whisky was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. For over three generations, Suntory's master blenders have devoted themselves to pursuing the harmony of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Hibiki is the paragon of harmony - launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory's philosophy on living in harmony with people and nature. The name Hibiki means "resonance" in Japanese. Suntory Whisky Hibiki resonates with the subtleties of nature infused by the twenty-four reasons of Japan's traditional calendar and reflected in the twenty-four facets of its bottle's designs. Hibiki is a noble blend of innumerous malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's globally acclaimed Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. These whiskies are meticulously blended to created a sense of "wa" - a oneness which unveils a full orchestra of flavours and aroma.

This Hibiki Harmony release is a 100th anniversary limited edition design, this centennial design of Hibiki Japanese Harmony was created to celebrate Suntory’s philosophy of living in harmony with people and nature.

The bottle design of the Hibiki Japanese Harmony 100th Anniversary Edition is inspired by the relentless pursuit of quality, ingenuity and expressiveness – rooted in “Monozukuri” craftsmanship and Japanese culture. A celebration of Suntory Whisky's centennial milestone, ​the design features a bridge with the traditional Japanese ​ art of Setsugekka – snow, moon and flowers to showcase ​the passing of seasons. The bridge is a connection to ​each of the four seasons connecting the past and future, ​in the hope that tradition and history won’t be forgotten, ​always to be respected as they look forward. The unique 24-faceted bottle represents 24 hours in a day, with 24 Japanese seasons in a year.

A golden, honeyed amber in colour with a nose of rose and lychee with a hint of rosemary and sandalwood. On the palate is a honey like sweetness, candied orange peel and white chocolate with a subtle, tender long finish, with hint of Mizunara oak.
