Ioppa Colline Novaresi DOC Nebbiolo 2018

Ioppa Colline Novaresi DOC Nebbiolo comes from Romagnano Sesia (town North of Ghemme, Right bank of the river Sesia North East of Gattirna), natural ferment in steel, post maceration for 7 to 10 days then one year elevage in tank. Colline Novaresi became a DOC in 1994.

The 2018 vintage has a ruby red colour in the glass adding orange reflections when ages. Pleasant aromas; fruity, elegant with hints of violet. A dry palate, harmonious, good body, rightly tannic. This wine pairs well with savory first courses, with second courses based on tasty meats, poultry, roasts, boiled meats, medium-aged cheeses.

Good Nebbiolo doesn’t just come from the Langhe. All over the northern Piedmont, higher altitude Nebbiolo wines, often easier to consume when young than those from the Langhe, come from areas like Ghemme, Gattinara and Colline Novaresi, just to name a few.
