Logan Weemala Shiraz Viognier 2021

Weemala comes from the local Aboriginal word for ‘great view’, and that’s exactly what the Logan family have from their vineyard in Mudgee, in western NSW. 

Peter Logan’s approach is refreshingly untraditional, steadfast in making wines he wants to drink rather than what market trends dictate. 

The rich Logan Weemala Shiraz Viognier 2021 is a delightful blend of 96% Shiraz and 4% Viognier grapes, sourced from Mudgee and Orange. The wine reveals a deep crimson red colour upon being poured in a glass. The lush bouquet offers indulgent aromas of dark chocolate, mulberry, allspice, fennel and white pepper. Fresh earth fragrances and a floral lift complete the aromatic nose, which in turn paves the way for a medium-bodied palate. The drink shows mouth-watering blackberry, plum, liquorice and spice flavours. All the elements eventually culminate in a long finish.
