A style that distinguishes itself by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity. Its assemblage reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three grapes varieties : Pinot Noir (40-50%) Of which 10% of Red wine, Pinot Meunier (30-40%) and Chardonnay (10-20%). The perfect gift for end of year celebrations and festivities.

Rosé Impérial goes well with strong, intense dishes - Beef carpaccio done in olive oil and ground pepper, Fried mullet fillets in a coriander emulsion, Ratatouille of fresh vegetables and red summer fruit salad and mint leaves.

Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon is the Maison that introduced champagne to the world by offering a range of unique wines for every occasion.

Maker:

The legendary Moët & Chandon is celebrating 280 years as the world’s most loved champagne. For over a quarter of a millennium, the renowned French winemaker has been sharing the magic of champagne across the globe. Every glass overflows with the House’s hallmark values of history, generosity, savoir-faire, success, boldness and elegance—values still at the heart of its global appeal. Toward the end of the 18th century, Jean-Remy Moët, grandson of founder Claude Moët, became famous as the man who introduced champagne to the world. The important figures of the era, from the Marquise de Pompadour to Talleyrand to Napoleon quickly fell in love with the House’s effervescent wine. Moët & Chandon was soon the icon of success and elegance that it remains to this day.

The Vineyard/Philosophy:
As Chef de Cave, Benoît Gouez’s mastery of his art ensures champagne with the distinctive Moët & Chandon character. His style and integrity are essential to bringing out the best in each year’s harvest, in his words, “highlighting and sublimating the special characteristics of the grapes grown in Champagne.” With his consummate respect for the natural qualities of the fruit, this young, atypical Chef de Cave is the ideal guardian of the Moët & Chandon spirit.

Nose - Wild Strawberry, Rose, Pepper
A bewitching bouquet - A lively, intense bouquet of red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry), floral nuances of rose and a slight hint of pepper

Palate - Intense Strawberry, Raspberry, Redcurrant
An expressive palate combining intensity and suppleness. The juicy, persistent intensity of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant.

Finish - Fleshy, Crunch Peach, Subtle Menthol
Lovely the fleshiness and firmness of peach and the freshness of a subtle note of menthol in the finish.

Hints of ripe peach, passion fruit and juicy acidity are carried on a tightly knit, satiny mousse in this firm rosé, layered with spiced plum, dried cherry, smoke and star anise notes. Try this with charcuterie. - Wine Spectator, 91 Points.

Roughly 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, with 9 g/l dosage; LAH9V): Dark, vivid pink. Ripe red berries, rose oil and tangerine on the nose, plus a subtle note of toasty lees. Bitter cherry and berry skin flavours give way to softer raspberry in the middle, with a tangy blood orange nuance adding cut and lift. Packs a punch but shows very good clarity and delineation, finishing round, smooth and quite long. - Vinous, 90 Points.
