Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2023 continues the lineage of one of Australia’s most iconic red blends. First crafted in 1960 by Max Schubert, Bin 389 helped shape Penfolds' global reputation. Known affectionately as the ‘Baby Grange’, it combines the structural drive of Cabernet Sauvignon with the plush generosity of Shiraz. It’s also matured in seasoned barrels that previously housed Grange, lending texture, spice and pedigree to the final wine.

The 2023 release is as classic as ever—layered and expressive, with cassis, dark plum, cedar and warm spice coursing through a firm yet glossy palate. The fruit is sourced from across Penfolds’ trusted sites, including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Padthaway, ensuring a balance of regional power and refinement.
